Duluth Rocked Media was formed in 2003 by longtime associates Jeff Jarvinen and Tracy Lundeen. Our mission at DRM is simply to promote and preserve the efforts of the scores of musical artists within our region.

Like so many adolescents in the 60’s with high school and specifically ‘band’ being the incubator for a career in entertainment, Jeff Jarvinen throughout the 70’s and 80’s went on to associations with renowned entities and events such as; FourthFest, BayFront Blues Festival, the Great Music Marathon, Minnesota Senior Olympics, Connors Pointe and Show-Pro to name but a few. In more concentrated efforts such as nightclub management with the ‘Register’ and management and co-ownership in the legendary ‘Showcase’ nightclub in downtown Duluth. Jarvinen’s career additionally includes media work in still photography and news print with local entertainment publications ‘Nightlife’ and ‘Encore’ magazines.

 After a 90’s sabbatical from the industry DRM was and idea ripe for action with the inexhaustible talents of close friend Tracy Lundeen.

Tracy Lundeen, the Northlands call to entertainment.  Notables in the industry are not hard to come by. Even before rock & roll took America by storm the name Jay Luyre comes to the forefront as notable event producer. Later the names Harvey VanHorn, DJ Leary,  and Bob Schroeder emerge as significant producer/promoters.
 

In radio, with extraordinary personalities and distinctive voices, Northland listeners recall the names Little Joe Laznick, Dr. Don Rose, Lew Latto, Dave Strandberg and Roger Johnson.
 

In music legendary names appear, QuickBreath www.quickbreath.com  with record attendance levels and national touring, Tracy Lundeen emerges as renowned lead singer and front man. Pre dating his own drivers license Tracy was in the recording studio in Minneapolis with the Guided Tour band recording a local hit 45 rpm record.

Currently Tracy’s foray into children’s entertainment puts him ‘out front’ in one of the upper Midwest’s most popular and recognized family entertainment shows “Jungle Sam and the Safari Band’ www.safariband.com with music on compact disk produced by industry notables like Dave Hoffman aka: Winston Fink of the Legendary Unbelievable Uglies www.unbelievableuglies.com and music director/producer AR Stevens www.arffytunes.com.
 

Lastly there is no other name in entertainment production with continuous experience spanning five decades other than Show-Pro www.lundeenproductions.com . Those notables to name a few include; the Duluth Bridal Show, Duluth Senior Expo, FunFair, the BayFront Blues Festival, FourthFest, Connors Pointe, the Live Music Agency, the Showcase, Nightlife and Encore magazines and the list goes on.

Without remiss we have to mention Tracy’s self described avocation to radio as the co-host of the ever popular radio show ‘Northland Calling’ heard every Saturday morning on KDAL in Duluth.
